When you select a Fathers+Daughters wine, in essence, you are entrusting the selection we made back in the beginning when sourcing our grapes.

In addition to our family’s own Ferrington Vineyards, we are honored to source fruit from the vineyards featured below. Get to know a bit about the sources that make what we do after the harvest possible.

NELSON FAMILY VINEYARDS

Hopland, CA

Varietal: Zinfandel  |  Vintage: Multiple

While Rose can be made from Pinot Noir, Grenache and many other varietals, we’ve chosen to make several vintages of our Rose from this highly regarded, multi-generational vineyard located in southern Mendocino County. The Nelson family has been farming this land for over 70 years. We’ve found that fruit from their old-growth Zin vines makes for an absolutely outstanding Rose.  If you come up to taste with us, we suggest you pop over the hill and visit Nelson Family where, in addition, to their fine wines, you’ll find 200 acres of vineyards, 37 acres of Bartlett Pear trees, 300 Olive trees, 12 acres of Christmas trees and an abundance of farm animals and wildlife.

ROMA’S VINEYARD

Boonville, CA

Varietal: Pinot Noir  |  Vintage: Multiple

In our Vineyard-Select designation, we were interested in sourcing a Pinot from a location that offered a contrast in terroir to our family vineyard on the Anderson Valley floor. Overlooking the town of Boonville and the Anderson Valley from an elevation of 1850’, this 7-acre ridgetop vineyard, planted to the Pommard clone in 1993, is dry-farmed by former Alaskan bush pilot, Dean Carrell. His implementation of organic principals, cordon pruning and tender care results in a delicate Pinot with great complexity. An interesting sidenote: while at Ferrington, the wildlife intrusion we protect against are deer, at 1,300’ above us, Dean’s major concern are bear!

BELLA GRACE VINEYARD

Sutter Creek, CA

Varietal: Syrah  |  Vintage: 2020

Located in Amador County, in the heart of California’s Shenandoah Valley, vineyard owner Charlie Havill's meticulous farming techniques yields fruit of wonderful character. When we were looking to add a red wine to our stable, our research lead us to Charlie’s 52-acre vineyard.

WEIR VINEYARD

Yorkville, CA

Varietal: Pinot Noir  |  Vintage: 2020

In 2020, we were offered the opportunity to secure some fruit from the highly-regarded, 15-acre  Weir Vineyard in the Yorkville Highlands. Planted in 1992 by Bill Weir, the vineyard is sustainably farmed and consistently yields some of the most sought-after fruit in Mendocino County.

BEVEL VINEYARD

Philo, CA

Varietal: Pinot Noir  |  Vintage: 2022

This 10-acre vineyard was planted to Pinot in 1996. Ideally situated in the Anderson Valley, this vineyard’s terroir yields fruit rich in depth and complexity.
